Description

The Department of National Defence (DND), has a requirement for the production and supply of CADPAT-patterned clothing and associated items for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). This solicitation is subject to limited tendering. Only companies holding a valid and active licence to print CADPAT, issued by the Department of National Defence, will be invited to submit bids. The following licensed companies are eligible to participate in this solicitation: • Textiles Monterey (1996) Inc. / Monterey Textiles (1996) Inc. • Brookwood Companies Incorporated • Textil Santanderina, S.A. • NV Utexbel • Brittany Global Technologies Corporation Where a supplier has previously submitted samples to DND for the same or equivalent requirement, those samples may be retained and considered for use in support of the upcoming solicitation, subject to confirmation by DND that they remain representative of the proposed product and continue to meet the applicable technical requirements. Companies interested in obtaining a CADPAT printing licence are invited to contact: Requesting the Commercial Use of the Canadian Disruptive Pattern (CADPAT) - Canada.ca for information regarding the licensing process and eligibility requirements. By limiting the solicitation to organizations that currently hold a valid CADPAT printing licence, DND can ensure compliance with intellectual property, security, and technical requirements associated with the production of CADPAT-patterned materials. Request for Standing Offers (RFSO) package would be provided directly to the eligible licensed firms, increasing the likelihood of receiving compliant and competitive bids. At the same time, transparency is maintained by clearly identifying the eligibility requirements, listing the licensed companies eligible to participate, and providing information for other interested firms wishing to pursue a CADPAT printing licence for future opportunities.
